Happy Day Chile!

Cueca

Chile,

Land of the Mapuche warrior, of the good wine and the coveted copper. Long and narrow, from North to South, with its arid deserts and fertile green valleys. Land of songwriters and wholehearted poets that sing of illusion and hope. Dreamers and fighters with 200 years of living and thinking of love.

From the distance, I celebrate my 18th, cooking empanadas, and drinking my good wine while listening to a song.

Viva Chile M....! my missed land!

Happy day to Chile!

I was thinking, maybe we should make blog pages for each country where members come from and have etsy minis on that post... is it too complex? That way we all know a little about the different people that compose the Spanglish team, and their countries... more like a post by all of us... I'm posting this on the yahoo group site as well!

Good Idea!! We can make different posts about our members and countries. But if you don't give me the information I can't blog about it! If you want to share something in our blog please feel free to contact me.

Thank you for lovely words about my country Chile!

Viva Chile! Happy Independence Day!

Besos,

Lolo :-)

Hola Lolo!

I loved the empanadas chilenas!!!

I write "I loved" because I have Celiac Disease and I can't have wheat anymore =( But when I was happy and I didn't know it, I used to be a fanatic of the empanadas chilenas con queso blanco. Just the thought of it "se me hace agua la boca"!!!

I remember they had a tiny restaurant at a mall call, Paseo Las Mercedes in Caracas-Venezuela. They were the best!!!

Thanks for sharing your culture with us,
Corina
