Handmade Wedding!

SIKIU
SIKIU

One of our members got married! her name is Sikiu, she contacted me to share her handmade wedding, it toke place in the beautiful Caribbean Island Aruba this past March. Her family and friend traveled to share that special day with her. She thought about giving favors that were small and unique for them to take back home. The best way to say thank you was making her own, artistic, handmade and personalized gifts. They all had an encription in Spanish and English in the back symbolizing the mix of both cultures, Sikiu is from Venezuela and Keith from New Jersey. The materials: Terracotta, Glaze, acrylic and love, how do you like them?

Gracias chicas, I guess i get time for everything because I set time to everything and stick on it. I go to school full time, create art, market it, travel, enjoy time with my family, go to bed never later than 10 PM and once in a while I just don't do anything.
I'm in the process if making more favors, they are in the kiln now, I can't wait to see them and post them in Etsy :)

Via Corina's Art Blog I saw the word "Spanglish" and I was 'hooked' on to find out more about Spanglish.

Two century's ago a group of Canarians arrived in Luisiana and it seams that some of the old folks still speak Spanish, even today!
Extraordinarely that Canarian culture survived within the Nord American after such a long time.
In 1998 a group of 30 descendants of the Canarian colonists who arrived in 1778 in Luisiana visited for the firts time again the Canarian Islands.
